Love Poems for February #1 of 14 NaLoPoMo

February 3, 2013

I plan to do 14 new poems that have something to do with LOVE during February.

Call it NaLoPoMo   National Love Poem Month.
The first one is an ekphrastic free write. That is–it’s inspired by a piece of art/photograph.

Several poets may be participating in writing a poem a day or every other day in February. Join us and write some poems. Post a link to your love poems here at this Facebook page: Randomly Accessed Poetics which is a William James Lindberg project.

or   https://www.facebook.com/RandomlyAccessedPoetics

His latest prompt is as follows: For day three of the Love Poem Write Month, I wrote an acrostic poem. These are simple to do and are good when you do not have too much time to devote to inspiration. (Use it or another prompt–or no prompt at all). Happy Writing.

Red ballet shoes
broken in
waiting to dance
once more.
Still plenty of
life left
to share with right

  1. Thinks Chris. In your poem is the shoe waiting to dance with another shoe or is it waiting to dance a partnered dance like a waltz?
