Love Poems of February #10 of 14

February 21, 2013

Here’s the 10th of 14 new poems that have something to do with love that I plan to write during February.

Call it NaLoPoMo National Love Poem Month.

Love’s Myth was the subject of today’s prompt.     Enjoy.

Several poets may be participating in writing a poem a day or every other day in February. Join us and write some poems. Post a link to your love poems here at this Facebook page: Randomly Accessed Poetics which is a William James Lindberg project.

Love’s Fault
By Christopher J. Jarmick

Love
doesn’t create the hurricane

the floods,the disarray or
the remarks of bad timing.

It happens
as it’s supposed to and

it’s the resistance the
lack of trust
faith,

the insistence of trying
to manage that which
will not be managed

in finite, banal, little human
ways.

It’s more than spring
more than a wind

more than something you demean
by calling it a ‘force’

Love
can be accepted or denied

But nothing in-between
works.

ever.
