DAY 20 – NaPoWriMo Prompt for April 20, 2016
Welcome to Day 20 of the NaPoWriMo challenge. Use these prompts to inspire you to write a poem each and every day of April.
You will notice that I’ll be suggesting some new and unusual forms as prompts. These forms have been collected at the shadow poetry site. Since I want to honor copyrights I will be posting links to the site for you to read about the suggested form prompts and see examples of poems written in that form
Cascade, a form created by Udit Bhatia, is all about receptiveness, but in a smooth cascading way like a waterfall.

For those living anywhere near Western Washington you might want to look at the new Poetry Day of the Week page that you’ll find in the upper right corner under PAGES. A couple of times this month you may also find my Poetry Northwest announcements in between the NaPoWriMo posts.
If you post the poems on your blog or anywhere using this prompt… send me a link.
My Day 18 Prompt Poem (TriQuatrain)
“Wait I do love Bonnie Rait!”
Relearning to cope
Boating on a lake or in a pool floating
Sky full of hope
False start, shutup, have a heart
Can’t show you how
Lost the rhyme, no nick of time
Can’t help you now
The storm is over, new norm arriving
Still sort of sad,
busted -I could’ve been the best trusted friend
that you ever had
Never miss a chance to steal a kiss
Let’s give them something to talk about
Tender touch, what’s too much
Glowing smile and a big joyful shout
