Poetry by Day of the Week

Regular scheduled poetry readings in Western Washington

are the focus here. Occasional, but not definitively scheduled readings do NOT

appear on this list.  Most of these readings are open mic friendly

and most are free or very low cost.  If I know of any cover charge

or mandatory admission charge it will be noted. Regardless,

do your best to support the business hosting the reading

(buy coffee, tea or food if appropriate in a cafe/coffee shop setting,

buy a book at least once in a while in a bookstore setting etc. and throw

a few bucks if there is a hat for donations to an organization or for

the featured poet.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
NOTE:  Although this list is periodically updated. . .

do not assume it is 100 percent accurate, 100 percent of the time.

Things change, sometimes without notice.   If you have updates,

and/or additions to this list please email me as soon as possible so

this list can be kept as current as possible . . .

emeraldchris@yahoo.com).

If there is a regularly scheduled open to the public gathering

that includes poetry and has been running for several months. . .

let me know about it with an email.  ( emeraldchris@yahoo.com )

If you are thinking about starting a new reading look at this

list to see if there is something already established in your area

(within 20 miles or so) and if possible choose a different regular

time and day of the week for your new  gathering so you add to

what is going on in the poetry community and avoid unnecessary

competition for audience or readers.
